-The Purdy Spit: lots of great sailboarding and kayaking from this public beach on Henderson Bay. Also a boat launch and a beach to picnic on. A great spot to watch 4th of July fireworks.

-Deadman's Island: you can tie up your boat overnight, hang out on the beach during the day or wander around the island trails.

-Skim boarding: lots of low tides leave mud beaches for skim boarding or mud fights!

-Henderson Bay fireworks: July 4th tug boat bringing in the fireworks display donated by some great people on Henderson Bay.
 
-Kopachuk State Park: a great beach for swimming and beach exploring. There are camp sites with in the park for overnight fun.
