One of my favorite locations in Gig Harbor is the Rosedale area. Homes in this location often are on, or look out on Henderson Bay and the Olympic Mountains. Check out the video of a pod of seals chasing a school of fish – one of the many incredible sites of Henderson Bay, along with the eagles that sore all year round. You will also find an assortment of horse and farm properties mixed in with small neighborhoods.
Sehmel Homestead Park is a 98 acre jewel for our community, with 76 acres left pretty much natural. Walk your dog, run the trails, check out the Master Gardener demonstrations or watch an outdoor performance at the amphitheater. Kids and adults use the numerous ballfields and turf field, picnic areas and playground.
For when you run out of the essentials, the Rosedale Market on 86th ave nw is an easy stop. Buy gas, or catch up with your friends over a coffee.
Rosedale is removed from the congestion of shopping, yet minutes from Gig Harbor North and Downtown, and one of the more peaceful locations to live in.
